Dr. Chris D’Ascenzo has over 35 years of business and leadership experience in the defense, intelligence, and national security industry. He has an accomplished track record in the federal contracting business and leadership roles in engineering, program management, problem program turnarounds, strategic development, and P&L leadership up to $300M in annual revenues. He has led complex communications and weapons development programs, the delivery of systems engineering and analytical services as well as large scale enterprise IT and cyber security services.

Chris has unique organizational perspectives gained from leading culturally diverse businesses with intelligence community, defense, civilian public safety, and commercial startup customers. Chris has a strong record of winning competitive business over the $100M level, developing new markets in government contracting and then going on to run those businesses.

Chris received his bachelors and master’s in electrical engineering from Drexel University, his MBA at Villanova and obtained the Doctorate in Business Administration where he wrote a dissertation on early stage business growth risk. After completing the graduate Systems Engineering degree at George Washington University in 2018, he has done research on cyber resiliency impacts to business systems. He is a founding member of an angel investment fund with a portfolio of early stage start-ups, holds a patent in 911 emergency IT and serves as an active adjunct program management faculty member at the Defense Acquisition University.
